For streaming chat, agent management, knowledge, conversation access, and WhatsApp templates, see the Developer API. Use the Centillion API to create Helpdesk tickets for an agent from your own systems. The API returns JSON and includes an x-request-id response header.

Authentication

Send one of two credentials in the Authorization header. A workspace API key, for calls from your servers. Create it in Workspace settings → API keys; it is the same key the Developer API uses.
The agent in the request path must belong to the key’s workspace. Creating a ticket needs a Full access key and a plan that includes Helpdesk; a read-only key returns 403 FORBIDDEN. Each key allows 100 requests per 10-second window, and a 429 response includes Retry-After. The ticket’s history shows it was created through the API. A Clerk session token, for calls made as a signed-in teammate. The token’s active workspace must own the agent in the request path. An authenticated browser session may use its session cookie.
With a session, the caller must be an active workspace Owner, Member, or Support Associate. Viewers cannot create tickets. The API checks current membership and returns 403 FORBIDDEN if the role cannot create tickets. See workspace roles.

Idempotency

Ticket creation requires an Idempotency-Key header. Generate a new key for each logical ticket. Retrying with the same key and body returns the first ticket and does not consume another ticket number. Reusing a key with a changed body returns 409 IDEMPOTENCY_KEY_REUSED.
